Ukalta Engineering is spin-off company launched with initial funding from the MicroSystems Technology Research Initiative (MSTRI), the Alberta Ingenuity Fund, and Precarn Incorporated. Ukalta Engineering is now focused on commercializing its patented technology for verification and testing of wireless communication systems.

Management Team

	Amirhossein Alimohammad, Ph.D. President Amir is one of the chief inventors of the technology Ukalta is currently commercializing. He was honored for research excellence in the Canada-wide Douglas R. Colton Medal Award in 2007 and has extensive industry experience, having worked with ISC and Atmel GmbH in Germany.
	Saeed Fouladi Fard, Ph.D. VP Engineering Besides helping develop some of Ukalta’s key proprietary technology, Saeed brings more than eight years of wireless communication experience to Ukalta. Saeed has been the recipient of numerous awards, and has worked at several different wireless communication and globally based companies.
	Leendert van den Berg, M.Sc. VP Operations Leendert is responsible for the day-to-day operations and the effective implementation and execution of the corporate strategy. Leendert brings his extensive experience he developed while at IBM in Toronto and BigBangwidth, another high-tech start-up in Edmonton that specializes in fiber-optic switches.
	John C. Koob, M.Sc., P.Eng. VP Process John is responsible for defining and monitoring processes followed to promote product quality and reliability. John has over three years of experience in configuration management and quality assurance from his time at Saville Systems. He was a recipient of the National Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and Alberta Ingenuity academic awards of excellence.
