Wideband Full-Duplex Fading Channel Emulators
Ukalta is currently developing several wideband channel emulators for wireless devices with relatively low data transmission rates. These cost-effective fading simulators will be ideal for simulation of single and multiple antenna devices under flat-fading channel scenarios. Site-specific information of an indoor environment can be used to configure the fully-parameterizable fading channel emulator. With full-duplex RF interfaces, the fading channel emulator products will provide a perfect match for off-the-shelf RF modules used in ISM band applications.

Multi-node Fading Channel Emulators
The coexistence of wireless devices that use shared spectrum is problematic and prone to radio interference, often resulting in severe degradation in the performance of communication systems. Ukalta’s multi-node emulator platform currently under development is ideal for co-existence testing of multiple wireless communication systems under diverse indoor channel conditions. Using Ukalta’s multi-node fading channel emulator, the product under development can be tested in the presence of multiple interfering RF devices, aiding designers in ensuring that their system is versatile and robust in presence of interference from other radio systems. Ukalta’s multi-node fading emulator will simplify the development of wireless products by eliminating the the need for custom-built testbeds and extensive over-the-air testing. The Ukalta multi-node emulator will reduce time-to-market by providing system designers with repeatable emulation of wireless conditions. This this cost-effective testing solution can be readily scaled to support a large number of wireless devices.
